The Latvian Clay Science Society (LCSS) is an organization that unites scientists and interested parties in Latvia in the field of clay and clay mineral research

The aim of the Latvian Clay Science Society is to promote scientific research of clay and clay minerals and recognition of research both in Latvia and abroad, therefore one of the tasks set by LCSS is to promote cooperation between scientists, promoting both intellectual potential and successful use of scientific infrastructure between different scientific institutions. The tasks of LCSS include educating and attracting young scientists and students to clay research, as well as promoting cooperation with other clay and clay mineral research organizations both in Latvia and abroad. LCSS is a member of the European Clay Groups Association (ECGA) and the Association Internationale pour l’Etude des Argiles (AIPEA).

Welcome

We are delighted to invite you to participate in  Nordic Clay Meeting / 3 rd Symposium Clays & Ceramics 2021 on 8-10 February at University of Latvia in Riga and online. Central Riga and its downtown area are notable for their beautiful Art Nouveau architecture which are included on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The event will be hosted by Latvian Clay Science Society with support of the University of Latvia.
